LifeChanger of the Year Nominee Profile

Liliane Miller was nominated by Charles Slanetz, a family friend.

Ms. Miller is a LifeChanger in many ways. She has been teaching at Cohasset Middle-High School and positively impacting students' lives for over a decade.

"I had the privilege of having Liliane leading some of my classes when I was growing up and going through Cohasset Middle-High School. It always stuck with me how thorough she was in making sure each student had all their questions answered. She wanted each student to understand fully, and was willing to take the time and effort to make sure that happened. All the kids loved her and knew that through her actions, Ms. Miller loved them, too," said Slanetz.

"One special memory I have is when Liliane graciously agreed to be my French tutor. She is a native speaker, so she was a good tutor to have, indeed! I have always loved languages, and this passion only grew through my time working with Ms. Miller. My skill grew exponentially, and I found myself being able to hold more fluent conversations than ever before. I still remember the Thanksgiving when my family hosted Liliane. At the table, I was able to have an actual fluent conversation and realized how far I'd come, thanks to her. Those moments are representative of Liliane, always caring and always making a positive impact on the lives around her. I am grateful I had her as an influence growing up, and that she is still around making that same meaningful impact today," said Slanetz.
