LifeChanger of the Year Nominee Profile

Rebecca Sprouse was nominated by an anonymous colleague.

Ms. Sprouse is the true definition of a LifeChanger! She was a firefighter for 20 years, a police officer for eight years, and even owned her own bakery for many years. She wasn’t truly happy with those positions, even though two of the professions were her dream jobs. She is very happy with her “not her bucket list” job now, though! It shows with the positive energy that’s in the high school cafeteria. She hasn’t missed a day of work and goes above and beyond the kitchen to make her students happy.

Many times, she has been called “the football team’s personal mascot” because she shows up to all their games to root them on at the gate with meaningful posters for them. She is a constant in these students' lives and has helped many with challenging life experiences through her awesome advice. The students love her, and many even say they only come to school because they knew they would see her. They even say their favorite subject is “lunch!"
