Kylie Rammel was nominated anonymously.
When Ms. Rammel's students walk into her classroom, they know they are loved! She finds the best in all of her students, and they are willing to take risks and make mistakes because of the atmosphere she promotes. In her classroom, all students are treated equally and are provided with the same amount of respect.
As an intervention specialist, she often gets students from lower-income families, and she spends much of her own money furnishing their classroom and basic needs. In her classroom, she is always living by two main goals: inclusivity and positivity. All are welcome in her classroom. She is a special education teacher, and she provides a "calm down" sensory area for her students; however, in recent years, many general education students have been using her classroom's calm down area.
In recent years, many of her students have also shown a need for basic hygiene. She is always advocating and working with the school nurse to meet these basic needs. Regularly, her students do not come to school with their needed supplies. Often, they even arrive on the first day of school without a backpack.
She has been a proud educator for fifteen years. During that time, she has become a mother of two, all while earning a Master's degree in autism spectrum disorders and a reading endorsement. She also has worked as a consultant for a special education website. Her passion is helping children, especially children with disabilities. She has made it her life's mission to promote inclusivity and positivity in her classroom and daily life.
I have known Kylie all of her life. I have watched her through the years grow into the dynamic young lady that she is now. I knew very soon she was special! Her loving heart and kindness shined always. When it was time for her to make career decisions I knew without a doubt the the choice of her being an intervention teacher that every child she became involved with would feel loved by her!! She is so special and everyone who crosses her path in life will feel her special heart and be as blesssed as I have all these years!!!
Mrs. Rammel lights up any room she walks in. She is always positive, professional, and willing to help any student or staff member that comes across her pass. She is a phenomenal teacher, staff member, and community member. She is more than deserving of this honor!
I officially met Kylie when I joined the St. Marys Community Public Library Board of Trustees last year. I quickly felt at ease sitting next to her or across the board room table from her, as her personality is so inviting and genuine. I can only imagine how loved all of her kids (at home and in the classroom) feel in her presence. She is so deserving of this award!!
It has been such a privilege to work with Kylie over the last 10 years. Her smile and positive outlook on all situations carry over and set the tone with every encounter. She not only provides professionalism, but a joy. Her positive outlook and professionalism set the tone for students and staff alike. In my years working with her, I’ve also seen her be a bridge of connection of school and home in the St.Marys community. This nomination is well deserved to such a sweet person.
Mrs. Rammel is such a blessing to our school system! She is a wonderful teacher who cares greatly about her students success not just in the classroom but in all aspects. She is so deserving of this honor.
Kylie is a wonderful daughter in law. She is always positive and helpful. I’m sure she is the same at school with fellow teachers and students. She seems to know and converse with just about everyone. She has respect and professionalism.

Kylie is the perfect person for this reward! She is so loving and giving to not only her students, but everyone around her. She helps her students to reach their goals no matter the circumstance. As a coworker, she is the most supportive person to have around you for the highs and the lows. The same goes for her students. They are so excited to celebrate their wins with her and also lean on her when they need her because she provides and environment that welcomes everyone! She is one of a kind!

She takes her job very seriously. She believes that she can make a difference in her students lives. And she does! She spends a lot of her own time and resources on her students. I know all this to be true! I am her father!
No one more deserving than Kylie Rammel should receive this award for life changer of the year! Mrs. Rammel has become a safe place for our children. Coming for our now 6th grader, Mrs. Rammel she’s always so “friendly, nice, helpful, and gives the best hugs.” Our 4th grader “loves Mrs. Rammel. She’s loving and whenever she was having a stomach ache or feeling down Mrs. Rammel always knows what to say to make her feel better.” As a parent, you hope that there are always teachers guiding our children and taking care of them as their own. With Mrs. Rammel, I have no doubt she is! Mrs. Rammel is an asset to our schools. While I’m sure there are numerous nominations, Mrs. Rammel is very deserving for life changer of the year!! She’s the best !!
