Nathan Flores is very deserving of this nomination! His faith, character, and the way he cares for others doesn’t go unnoticed. He leads with humility and strength, and you can see a real difference in the lives that he touches.
When I first started my coaching career, I didn’t really know what to expect. I also didn’t know Coach Flores at all. But from day one, he welcomed me with open arms, literally. That meant more than he probably knows. After two years of coaching alongside him, it feels like I’ve known Coach Flores my whole life. He’s not just a coach. He’s a mentor who genuinely cares about the people around him! He took the time to teach me things that helped me grow, not just on the field, but as an educator and as a person. Coach Flores is a great teacher who truly wants what’s best for his students beyond the game. Now stepping into his role as Head Baseball Coach, I can’t think of a better leader for those kids. The program is getting someone who will invest in them the right way, hold them accountable, and care about who they become long after the season ends. Somewhere along the way, he became more than a colleague. He became a friend who feels like family. I’m grateful for the lessons, the guidance, and the example he sets every day.
I’ve had the privilege of subbing at Ropes and getting to work with Coach Flores. I’ve seen him make every student feel seen and heard. I have seen him change his teaching method to make sure everyone understands the assignment and he always finds a way to make it fun. Most importantly I’ve seen the respect he gives the students and they return it to him.
Coach Flores is one of the kindest men I know. His love and concern for each of his athletes and students is so apparent. I am thankful my son has been blessed to have been coached by him.
Both my kids love Coach Flores! We are new to Ropes and he has made them both feel wanted and welcome. He helped them to have an easy transition into a new school and he has encouraged them both, not only on the field, but in the classroom as well. We are so thankful for Coach Flores!!

I have known Nathan for almost a decade now. He is a wonderful man that starts at home as an awesome husband, father and son. The love he pours into his family overflows to his students. His passion to teach, build and edify his students is by choice, kindness and whole heartedly. His goal is to make others succeed in happiness.

Nathan Flores deserves to win LifeChanger of the Year because he is the kind of man whose impact reaches far beyond his own home—his integrity, work ethic, and compassion have shaped countless lives, including mine. Watching the way he leads, serves, and lifts others has taught me that true influence doesn’t come from what you say, but from how consistently you show up for the people around you. In fact, I often joke that maybe if I’d been studying his every move a little closer, I’d have a beautiful wife whose initials start with (L>ove) because the example he sets is one anyone would want to follow. Nathan coached my grandsons in travel baseball years ago. That’s the way I met him. He treated me like he had known me all my life. He always speaks and gives me a hug when he see’s me! He is an exceptional person, friend, and coach! I’m so excited for baseball this year since he’s head coach, no doubt in my mind we will go to State!
