LifeChanger of the Year Nominee Profile

Jennifer Evans is a LifeChanger! She's a mother, teacher, and a lifelong learner. She is a LifeChanger because she teaches her students how to read. She teaches students who have dyslexia and sometimes struggle with reading. Her job is to teach them the strategies they need to be fluent readers and learn to love reading.

At her school, Ms. Evans not only teaches kids to read, but also improves staff morale through her Person of the Week (POW) initiative. She's the school's DonorsChoose Ambassador and helps the staff learn how to write grants and get free supplies for their classroom. She initiates the special dress-up days at her school, such as the 50th, 70s, and 90s, Autism Awareness, and Black History Month dress-up days. She also has a Reign Art Club at school. She loves to stay busy!
