Ms. Lloyd believes that teaching is all about relationships! As the late Rita Pierson once said, "Kids don't learn from people they don't like!" Ms. Lloyd connects with her students, whether it's discussing football and basketball with her athletes, webtoon stories with her readers, asking students about their weekend, or entertaining their creative endeavors.

Ms. Lloyd is the only high school art teacher in a building of roughly 1200 kids. She has a fantastic job, and she tells her students daily how much she loves what she does. Whether her students realize it or not, they are more engaged in their work because of Ms. Lloyd's enthusiasm for her profession. Positive connections, a genuine interest in her students, and showing them daily that she loves being an art teacher have made her classroom a wonderful place to learn! This is shown not only through the students' interest and engagement, but also in her students earning the highest AP scores in the school for the 2024-25 school year, and in being nominated for the "Easiest Teacher To Talk To" award.

The love that Anne has for teaching is seen within the first few moments you see her. It is seen in the love and care that she puts in to every event, art piece, and class she teaches. It is seen in the respect that is clearly and easily given by each of her students. Outside of teaching, Anne also coaches and adds another level of care and commitment to her kids' lives. I can say that Anne is an absolute Life changer and that each of her kids' lives have been changed for good.

Anne is an amazing teacher. She is very generous with her time and attention and it shows in the passion in her students work. Outside the classroom she also coaches the girls soccer team.
