Ms. Mogianessi, I can truly say your impact went far beyond the classroom. In ceramics, you taught us patience and persistence. when a piece collapsed on the wheel, you made sure we knew it was an opportunity to learn and try again. I also had the opportunity to take your art class, where you encouraged us to explore our own styles, while still giving us in strong techniques to guide our growth. You created a space that felt safe to try new things, show off work, and support one another. Your care and belief in us shaped our art and our confidence outside of the classroom. I’ll always be grateful for the lessons and inspiration you gave me, Thank you Ms. nessi!

I remember being scared to take mrs mogianesi's class because I thought she would be mean but on the very first day I was proven wrong. Her class quickly became my favorite and I was always excited to talk to her about my artwork. Getting to be with her for two classes a day was amazing. After any long day or any amount of academic stress I was so relieved to get to her class and be able to express myself so fully and intensely. I've never had a teacher so wonderful and easy to talk to. I have changed and grown so much in her class and definitely grown into the artist I want to be. She encouraged me to do more in my personal art career outside of school and explore my own styles while still pushing my skills further. She changed the way I thought about art after only doing it in school for so long. Im so very glad I get to take her classes and am excited to continue taking them.

Mrs. Mogianesi touches the lives of her students in ways that go far beyond the classroom. Whether she’s teaching media arts, AP Art History, Art 4, or leading NAHS, she brings a passion that inspires both creativity and personal growth. She truly cares about each student, creating a welcoming space where ideas can bloom and self-confidence can grow. Many students say her guidance helped them find their unique artistic voice and think more deeply about the world around them; skills that stick with them long after high school. By seeing the best in every student, Mrs. Mogianesi has helped shape not just talented artists but also kind and thoughtful people whose lives are brighter because of her influence. It has been my pleasure to know and teach alongside her.

Ms. Mogianesi is an amazing teacher! I think it's especially important that art teachers are able to have a personal connection with their students, and Ms. Mogianesi is excellent at this, keeping up with each of our pieces and our individual artstyles and passions that go into making the art pieces our own. In that way, she's able to not only teach us art-making techniques but motivate us to learn and to continue to make more art. In every step of the art-making process, she gives guidance, tips, and inspiration to make for an easier and more fun time in the classroom. I look forward to her classes every day, and while I still have a long way to go as an artist, I definitely wouldn't be the student I am today without her.

Ms. Mogianesi sparked my love for organization and creativity through one simple tool: the bullet journal. Her class in middle school taught me how to structure my thoughts while still thinking in color—literally. Every project she assigned invited us to explore new mediums and ideas, never just follow a template. That early exposure to creative planning shaped how I manage my time today as a senior balancing AP classes and leadership roles. She didn’t just teach us to complete projects, but she taught us to express ourselves in order to create something meaningful through them.

During my time at Davidson Fine Arts, I have been a student of Ms. Mogianesi for three years now. Last year I struggled greatly with the constant stress of my home life crumbling. My work started to show this as I began turning assignments in late and essentially gave in to the constant pressure. However, Ms. Mogianesi refused to give up on me and showed an amount of care and concern that I had never received from a teacher before. Her kindness and support of my mental health gave me the determination to finish my last project and I was given an award by my principal for my hard work. I thank Ms. Mogianesi everyday for her warm heart and passion she radiates.

Carey and I shared a student last year who had great talent in both of our classes. I didn't know that until I read an email she sent to the faculty about this student's work. It was a specific sculpture she had done. This was a student who was relatively shy and didn't seek attention for her work, but she had worked so hard and done such a tremendous job on the piece that Carey felt compelled to share it with all the staff, making clear to us not only the effort this child had put forth but also the skill and sophistication in her design. It was indeed beautiful work, and without Carey, she wouldn't have been able to realize her vision. More important to me was the fact that I suddenly knew this whole other side to my student. It helped me connect with her as a writing teacher and made her even more successful in my own class. Carey supports and is proud of her kids. It makes every other teacher's job easier.
