Ashley Ray was nominated anonymously.

At the beginning of the school year, Ms. Ray sits down and is eager to learn about every child and their favorite things to do. This helps her build not only a bond with students, but it also allows her to create an environment where they can share with others. They all play and have a bond together that no other classroom has. When you make that positive classroom environment, you create a space where students are loved and cared for.

In Ms. Ray's school, students come from various backgrounds. She has students with bed sheets as their door, no motivation to go from school from parents, students who do not get meals, and students who have most of the supply list supplied.

Ms. Ray was named the 2024 Staff Member of the Year for her school. She also received a Teacher Feature from 94.9 the Bull in 2022.
