Amy Witcher was nominated anonymously.

In Ms. Witcher's classroom, she tries to keep things positive by using humor to connect with her students. She'll tell silly jokes, use funny voices when she reads, or make students laugh during lessons to keep things light. She always takes time to listen and ask students about their lives so they know she cares about them as people. She keeps in touch with families often, sharing good news and updates so they feel included.

She makes learning fun with games, hands-on projects, and activities that let kids move and create. She also works hard to make her room feel safe and welcoming, with clear routines and lots of encouragement, and she reminds students that mistakes are just part of learning, so they feel comfortable trying their best every day.

Ms. Witcher has a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education, a Specialist Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, a Gifted Education Endorsement, and National Stem Certification. She is also a Carroll County EMC Bright Ideas Grant Recipient.
