Kimberley Davis was nominated anonymously.

Ms. Davis creates a positive classroom environment by setting the tone from day one. Her students know they are walking into a space where they are safe, seen, and supported. She builds strong relationships by showing genuine interest in who her students are both inside and outside of school. With clear, consistent, and fair expectations, she ensures her classroom runs smoothly and equitably.

Her theme, “Bee-lieve In Yourself,” is more than just decor; it’s a daily reminder for students to trust in their potential and encourage one another. Ms. Davis’s goal is to create an atmosphere where students feel emotionally safe, academically challenged, and proud of who they are. In her very first year of teaching (2023–2024), one of her 6th-grade math classes earned the highest GMAS scores in the entire school.

Beyond academics, Ms. Davis goes out of her way to support her students’ well-being. Last year, she created a discreet, student-accessible hygiene station stocked with items such as deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, hair ties, and bandages. This simple but thoughtful effort has made a significant difference in her students’ confidence and sense of belonging. She also ensures her classroom is supplied with essentials like pencils, paper, markers, and dry-erase tools so that all students can fully engage in learning without the worry of not having basic materials.

Ms. Davis’s dedication shows her students that they matter, not only as learners, but as individuals.

I couldn't think of anyone more deserving of this honor! Mrs. Davis makes sure to teach the "whole child", making sure the needs that she can assist with are met and producing the children with a safe space for learning. It's so beautiful to see!
