Ms. Griffin promotes a positive classroom environment by making sure students know they have a voice. She gives them the space to be seen, heard, and loved. She treats students as if they are their own children. She provides the tough love needed to get through hard times and the gentle nurturing needed to soften any blows that they encounter. Students know that they don’t all have to be friends, but must always respect each other. Knowing this, her students are able to accept each other’s opinions, feelings, boundaries, beliefs, and uniquenesses, creating understanding and empathy.
