Ms. Wilkerson focuses on making sure each student understands the expectations and feels supported every day. She takes the time to celebrate their efforts and growth, no matter how big or small. She makes it a priority to be fair and patient with every student, making sure they feel heard, cared for, and respected. She wants her classroom to feel like a second home—a warm, welcoming, and inviting space. She keeps it colorful and cheerful, so students are excited to be there. Most importantly, she makes sure each child knows they are important, valued, and belong in her classroom family.

In 2019, Ms. Wilkerson was named Teacher of the Year at Sunbrook Academy.
