Ms. Harp creates a positive classroom environment by providing explicit teaching expectations and implementing several reward systems. Her students have natural consequences and understand that not getting a reward every time is okay, and they will get to try again many times throughout the day. Ms. Harp's students all feel loved every day, no matter what. One of her favorite accomplishments was taking a class that couldn’t get through a lesson and creating an environment where they were all learning!

Ms. Harp would use this award to buy notebooks for science and prize box items. Students would be impacted by having this positive reward system to encourage good behavior and follow expectations. This will lead to less distractions during instructional time, fostering learning for all. She would also purchase storage bins to organize supplies. This would create an environment where students know where everything is and would also make daily lesson prep quicker.
