Ms. Weigler creates a positive classroom environment by supporting students where they are. She takes the time to listen to their needs and provide clear expectations and boundaries. Ms. Weigler runs a classroom that includes students with varying disabilities that range in severity. This means that a multitude of supports are required, including a variety of sensory tools, flexible seating options, and a sensitivity to stimuli. In addition to her exceptional teaching, Ms. Weigler received a double Master's in Autism and Special Education in 2018, and is currently a trainer for a de-escalation program called Ukeru and for a program for new teachers.
