Jacob Music was nominated anonymously.

Mr. Music has a Master's Degree in Learning and Technology and won the 2024 Distinguished Educator Award. He creates a community in his classroom by encouraging open communication. He coordinates "Happiness Tuesdays", where he and his students discuss paths to lifelong happiness and what students can do to keep themselves mentally healthy into adulthood. The students are open to sharing their challenges, and they all talk them through together. Mr. Music's classroom has limitations on supplies, which requires restrictions to be enforced on lessons and decreases his ability to be spontaneous with his teachings. Even more so, he wants supplies to help with mental health training. Small hobby activities, including slime-making kits or singing bowls for mindfulness, could help him reach students and give them the skills to cope with stress.
