Ms. Rivera is dedicated to creating a supportive, inclusive environment where students feel safe to be themselves and comfortable seeking guidance or sharing concerns. Building meaningful relationships is at the heart of her teaching practice, and she approaches each student with genuine respect, care, and empathy. She takes the time to understand what her students may be experiencing beyond the classroom, using that insight to design lessons that are both engaging and relevant to their lives. Her teaching is rooted in transparency, believing that openness fosters a sense of being seen, heard, and valued, especially crucial during the teenage years. Ms. Rivera also prioritizes moments of connection and shared joy, carving out time for students to simply enjoy being together. She believes that school should be more than just a place of academic learning. It should be a true community where every student feels a sense of belonging.
I have worked with Ms. Rivera for a while and I can only say this. There are people who teach and always struggle if the classroom environment is not ideal. Then there are teachers who can teach and find ways to reach the kids even if the environment is not ideal. Ms. Rivera is not a poser she is a teacher. two thumbs up.
Ms. Rivera is a fantastic teacher and colleague. She encourages all of her students to do their best and reminds them that they can do hard things. She is always willing to try new things to ensure that her students not only understand but master the content. We are all lucky to have her at Kenny C. Guinn!

U genuinely care about the well being of ur kids and u dont look at any of them as being "bad kids" but kids who might be struggling in their personal life and just need a little bit more time and attention.
