Ms. Wilson is deeply committed to creating a positive and welcoming classroom environment by building strong, meaningful relationships with her students. As one of only two social studies teachers at her school, she often has the opportunity to teach the same students in multiple classes over the course of their high school careers. This continuity allows her to connect with them on a deeper level and provide more personalized support. She works hard to ensure that her students feel seen, valued, and respected, not just as learners, but as individuals with full lives and responsibilities outside of the classroom.

Ms. Wilson makes a point to show up for her students beyond the school day, attending their recitals, sporting events, and other extracurricular activities whenever possible. Her passion for teaching is evident in the care she brings to her work each day. Ms. Wilson wants her students to enjoy coming to school because they know they’ll be met with love, encouragement, and a strong support system from both her and the broader school community.
