Kelli Merrithew was nominated anonymously.

Ms. Merrithew leads her classroom with love, patience, acceptance, and inclusion. She is a first-year teacher joining a Title 1 school. Many of her students come in with no knowledge of letters or numbers. She wants to base her learning on literacy and make learning to read and write fun and engaging. She believes in hands-on learning, which is a method that children learn best through. Her goal is for all of her students to have everything they need to be successful in school. She wants them to love school and learning, all while feeling safe and loved!
