I have known Michele since I was born and I was probably the first child she practiced on, helping me with every aspect of my life. As her brother, I didn't always appreciate her extreme organization and strict interpretation of the rules (or how could she possibly spend Friday nights doing homework?!) but she absolutely has a gift for teaching and bringing out the best in a child. Mrs Bittel is an amazing teacher! We knew we were going to have a special teacher when we brought our daughter to meet her before the school year started and there was a constant flow of older kids from all ages coming to say hi to her because they loved her. And she beat our expectations after that thought-out the school year. Our daughter still runs up to give her a hug every time she sees her. She left a lasting impression on us and every other family that has come through her class.
Mrs. Bittel is such a special person and absolutely wonderful teacher. My son had the privilege to have her as his kindergarten teacher. She is passionate about teaching, caring towards all of these kiddos and truly treats them and loves them as her own. After only a few short days in class, my son looked forward to going to school. “Mrs. Bittel is good! Good, good, good, good, GOOD!” says my daughter, a student in her kindergarten class. Our daughter’s never been much for learning, or sitting still. I tried endlessly to review letters and numbers with her all summer, with no progress. She’s in Mrs. Bittels class for two weeks and comes home reciting numbers, letters, the sounds they make. Going to preschool was a fight with this child; now each day she wakes up excited to go to school and learn! It is an amazing feeling as a mother to have a child that is excited to learn and go to school. It doesn’t feel like it’s enough to just say Thank you Mrs. Bittel for helping my girl so much. We love you, you are a blessing from God!

Mrs. Bittel is absolutely worthy of the title “Life Changer!” Our son had her last year, and let’s face it, getting a 5 year old to sit and be interested in school and learning is quite the challenge. She instilled in him a love of learning that will forever change his life! Her dedication, passion and love for the kids is crystal clear! Her classroom structure engages the kids in fun and easy memorable ways to learn. My son left her class reading, doing math, telling me the time, writing short words, and so much more incredible stuff for a kindergartner! He also learned to control his behavior and emotions better too, by her taking the extra time to talk and listen to him. Her passion goes beyond the classroom as she is seen going to her student’s sporting events, dance recitals, church events, etc. She came to our son’s Martial Arts promotion ceremony late in the evening to support him! She came just a few days ago to his baptismal ceremony on Sunday. Our son’s life will forever be changed and blessed because of Mrs. Bittel! His love for school that he carries in his heart now, comes from her wonderful, outgoing, never ceasing, heart and passion for each student!

Selfless, caring, loving! Everything required for teaching people that young! I couldn’t do it! Not to say that I don’t care about others or love others or want to be selfless. I just don’t have the gift to teach little ones. I teach the college aged and that’s challenging enough for me.
