Mrs. Sheridan is a dedicated and compassionate 3rd-grade teacher in a district facing financial hardship. In addition to her classroom role, she devotes countless hours to coaching local youth basketball and volleyball teams, helping students develop confidence, teamwork, and resilience.

In the classroom, Mrs. Sheridan creates a nurturing environment where every child feels seen, supported, and inspired to grow. She builds strong relationships with her students, understands their unique needs, and designs engaging, differentiated lessons that accommodate a wide range of learning styles. Her commitment to meeting students where they are—academically and emotionally—makes a lasting impact.

Despite her efforts, Mrs. Sheridan works in a classroom with limited resources, including outdated materials and a shortage of basic supplies like whiteboards, manipulatives, age-appropriate books, and writing tools. 

Mrs. Sheridan’s influence extends far beyond the classroom. Through her coaching and deep involvement in the community, she is a trusted mentor and role model to dozens of children and families. Her unwavering dedication to her students’ academic, emotional, and social growth reflects her passion for education and her impact as a leader in both school and community.
