Jennifer Allen was nominated anonymously.

Ms. Allen is the teacher-librarian at her school. She has many K-5 students, but she makes a point of learning the names of all students and building relationships with them. She has high expectations that all students treat each other with kindness and respect, no matter what. Many of her library lessons focus on creating empathy by building humanity through children's literature. She encourages students to share and participate in lessons by creating a safe, nurturing environment for all.
