Amanda Todd was nominated anonymously.

As a school counselor, Mrs. Todd helps create a positive classroom environment by promoting open communication, teaching social-emotional skills, and supporting students’ mental health. She works with teachers to implement SEL (social-emotional learning) programs, address conflicts early, and foster empathy and respect among students. Through classroom lessons, group support, and collaboration with families, she helps ensure every student feels safe, supported, and ready to learn.

Mrs. Todd holds a Master’s in Education and a Bachelor of Science degree. In 2017, she was honored to be nominated for the BPS Golden Apple Award in the Support Staff category. She joined BPS full-time five years ago as an elementary school counselor and continue to actively contribute to multiple school-wide initiatives, including MTSS-B, academic and behavioral intervention teams, school celebrations, Rachel’s Challenge, and Zones of Regulation.
