Antoinette Jenkins was nominated anonymously.

Ms. Jenkins takes having the opportunity to shape young minds very seriously. She wears any hats needed for her students. She had a very hard childhood and was a high school dropout. She vowed she would never let her students feel that was their only choice. Ms. Jenkins sees their struggle and helps them emotionally so they are capable of focusing on their academics, which will allow them to achieve their future goals, whatever they may be. She feels teaching is the most important position next to parenting because it has a huge impact on the lives of kids.

Ms. Jenkins is a five-time nominee for the Heart of Education Award through the Rogers Foundation. She was awarded Outstanding Service to Students from Kristof Law Group in Henderson, Nevada. She has also been a middle school cross country coach, National Honor Society advisor, and Varsity Quiz coach. Finally, she created the Kindness Club and Crochet Club to give students safe spaces to volunteer time after school and do acts of kindness in the community.
