Mr. Gallegos is a dedicated special education teacher who creates a positive, inclusive classroom where character development is at the heart of daily learning. Working with high school students with disabilities, he supports their growth both academically and personally by fostering resilience, empathy, and responsibility. His commitment ensures students earn the credits they need for graduation while building the life skills necessary for a successful future. Through collaboration and encouragement, Mr. Gallegos empowers his students to gain confidence and develop a love for learning.

One of his classroom’s most pressing needs is improved access to water. Located in a portable classroom, his students must walk a long distance to access bathrooms or hydration, which disrupts learning and impacts their comfort. With funding, Mr. Gallegos plans to provide a water station, either through a condensation-based water machine or 5-gallon water jugs, so students can stay hydrated and focused. This simple but impactful resource would greatly enhance student well-being and create a more supportive, effective learning environment.
