Megan Lee was nominated anonymously.

From day one, Ms. Lee builds relationships grounded in respect and high expectations. She meets students where they are, offers grace, and always encourages them to keep striving, showing them she cares and believes in their potential. Her classroom depends on daily-use supplies like 11x14 paper, large sticky charts, poster board, raffle tickets, folders, and plenty of pencils, all of which ensure every student can participate fully without bringing materials from home. These tools support hands-on, creative learning that builds critical thinking skills.

In her first year of teaching (2011–2012), she was named “Most Innovative” by her district and won the Ceny Walker grant for a girls’ empowerment club. She has since led professional development sessions on gifted education, project-based learning, and post-pandemic writing support. She also served as an 8th grade team leader for two years.
