Gary Sessa was nominated anonymously.

As a high school theatre teacher, Mr. Sessa creates a positive, inclusive environment where every student feels welcome and supported. He prioritizes teamwork and ensures students know he cares about their success. At his Title I school, one of the biggest challenges is providing food and water during rehearsals and performances. Without a parent support group, he and his wife supply snacks themselves, helping students stay focused. Mr. Sessa has also used DonorsChoose and AdoptAClassroom to meet these needs. With over 31 years of experience, he has taught countless students and earned recognition for his technical theatre work. He also oversees Secondary Fine Arts Theatre for CCSD and has taught college courses at Nevada State College, mentoring fellow teachers across the district.
