Although we do not work on the same campus, I have had the honor of learning from her. She has had a profound influence on the lives of those she taught and continues to teach, as well as those who teach her, including me," said the nominator.

With 24 years of experience in the field of education, Mrs. Sawyer-Williams has consistently had a positive impact on the lives of her students. She also demonstrates a substantial degree of empathy and perception towards all children, regardless of their socioeconomic status, ability, or disability. She enables her students to grow academically, emotionally, and socially under her supervision.

You can even smell the good culture she creates on her campus, even when you are at a distance. Her attitude is encouraging and engulfs warmth, as is the case in her classroom, which is a place of safety and nurture. She is the kind of teacher that students will remember many years later, not only because of what she taught, but also because of how she made them feel.
