Phyllis Brown was nominated by an anonymous student.

Educators within Aldine ISD want to see each and every student excel in life, and that is one thing that should be valued. Counselors like Ms. Brown treat all students as if they were their very own children, and that's demonstrated through student involvement in school.

"Ms. Brown has helped me to be the person I am today. I can just go to her office and talk about nonsense forever, and she would never tell me to be quiet," said her nominator. "She would always be multi-tasking: doing her work while also listening to me talk, and that is something that we, the students, all need. Someone who lets us express ourselves. I am sure that she has been changing lives before I came to Carver Magnet High School, and she will continue to change lives after I have left."
