Kerry Herington was nominated by her colleague, Alison Olsen.

Mrs. Herington rocks, and that's how the students feel about her, too! She is innovative, knowledgeable and fun, and she has a wonderful sense of humor!  She took trainings herself,  and worked hard to train the staff and the students in the Restorative Practice philosophy / program. Because of her, every teacher looks forward to the art of building community and making connections within their own rooms with their daily circles. She is very accessible and visible, and her office is a positive, warm place for the students to be! She works hards and believes in the students and her teachers!

Mrs. Herington is simply amazing! I've worked with her for nearly 15 years now, and never have I worked with a counselor or teacher who gave more love and care to the students she serves. Every day she looks for new ways she can support our staff and students, and supporting a caring community is always her top priority. She leads by example and by hard work, and she has made connections with every member of our school family. We are all better for having the privilege of working with Mrs. Herington.
