Sandra Vitulano was nominated by an anonymous student.

"Mrs. Vitulano is a fantastic teacher who helps us grow as readers, writers, and learners, preparing us for the challenges of high school. This year, we've explored multiple novels shaping our 8th-grade experience, including The Outsiders, Before the Ever After, and The Giver. She genuinely cares about her students and is always available when we need to talk or ask questions about assignments, showing how much she changes the lives of those she teaches," said the student.

"Mrs. Vitulano gives us multiple opportunities to maintain strong grades. Personally, this class has helped me grow as a writer. Her strategies, such as R.A.T.E.E. questions and structured essays, have made my writing more organized, detailed, and coherent, especially in preparation for state testing. She has extensive experience in statewide assessments like the NJSLA, ensuring we are well-prepared for critical thinking and essay writing," said the student.

"Beyond that, she has significantly impacted our grammar skills, offering additional resources that help us improve. Her presence in our school is truly valued, as she works tirelessly to help us understand what we're learning and refine our writing. She encourages us to think outside the box, primarily through creative projects tied to our reading. She helps us recognize key themes using symbolism and figurative language, making literature more meaningful," said the student.

"Ultimately, Mrs. Vitulano creates a nurturing environment that meets the needs of every student. Through the stories we read, she incorporates lessons rooted in high morals, guiding us to grow as learners and persevere through challenges. She genuinely wants her students to succeed and feel prepared for the next four years of high school," said the student.
