Music that Describes Jacqueline
Jacqueline Davis was nominated by Blake Ervin, a member of the community.
Lieutenant Colonel (Ret.) Davis remains dedicated to service—not through military orders, but through purpose-driven passion and community leadership. With 33 years in the Army, she applied her mathematical engineering expertise to support a five-star general. Now, her commitment to discipline and integrity continues in both the classroom and the soil. As a ninth-grade Algebra teacher, she shapes young minds with the same values that defined her military career. She is also the founder of New Life Farm in Canton, Mississippi, a thriving organic haven in the midst of a food desert. Alongside her husband, she welcomes student groups from across the state year-round, guiding them in growing fresh, healthy food and embracing sustainable living. In a city with limited access to nutritious options, she stands as more than an educator—she is a force for health, hope, and community transformation. Canton is stronger because of her.
Mrs. Davis deserves to be named LifeChanger of the Year for many reasons; however, I would like to highlight two factors that make her quite a special and unique candidate. Providing nutrient-rich and beneficial food to those with less access to high-quality ingredients, she brings a crucial impact to Canton. This impact doesn't just stop at agriculture, as she is a well-established educator to the youth at Canton High School. Mrs. Davis shows a clear understanding of what her community and America need by filling in the spaces where we as a country and her community are experiencing shortages. She easily etches her name as LifeChanger of the Year.
