"Mr. Richard Bautista brings an all-encompassing, all-star energy wherever he goes. In my professional life, he has not only provided invaluable support in teaching and resources to help me best serve my students, but he also extends that same dedication to the students themselves.
I am currently in my sixth year of teaching. I still remember the excitement in my students' eyes when they were treated to a free online magic show during COVID-19 closures—an experience made possible by Mr. Bautista. His commitment to high moral and ethical standards is evident in the supportive and uplifting atmosphere he creates for everyone he interacts with. His radiant demeanor shines through in how he speaks to colleagues respectfully, engages with students in a positive and reinforcing manner, and treats non-teaching staff with kindness."

"I have known Richard Bautista since 2013, when my son, Jonah-Caleb Ching, was diagnosed with ASD at age three. Mr. Bautista was his teacher in the SPED program at Kapolei Elementary School from 2013 to 2019 and later served as his middle school autism consultant teacher from 2020 to 2022.
His dedication to his students is immeasurable. He chose to stay with his classroom for their final year before transitioning to his consultant role, ensuring that the students he had taught since kindergarten could graduate with his support.
Mr. Bautista has shown incredible care, patience, and compassion. He has provided my family with tools and strategies to help Jonah at home, creating visual schedules, social stories, and behavioral strategies independently. Even after Jonah moved on to middle school, Mr. Bautista continued to check in, ensuring he had the necessary resources for success.
One memory I will always cherish is the one that occurred after Jonah's meltdown in the car before school. His grandmother, overwhelmed and on the verge of tears, called Mr. Bautista to say Jonah wouldn't attend that day. Without hesitation, Mr. Bautista reassured her, saying, 'No, we got it. We are coming to help you.' He and his skills trainer arrived, calmed Jonah, and walked him to class.
For all the years of unwavering support, guidance, and care he has provided to Jonah and our family, I wholeheartedly believe Richard Bautista is the perfect and well-deserved nominee for the LifeChanger of the Year award. We are forever grateful for his instrumental role in Jonah's life."
