"When I first met Mrs. Sutton, she was incredibly kind and pleasant. After speaking with her administrators, I knew she was an outstanding nominee," said Rich-Moultrie.
Principal Ingram shared, "Mrs. Sutton is like a mother figure to the students and staff of Belvoir Elementary School (BES). She is an invaluable resource to our school community. We are so blessed to have her on staff, and she has spent over 20 years giving above and beyond her time and abilities to our school."
Assistant Principal Jason Myers echoed this sentiment: "Mrs. Sutton is an amazing teacher at Belvoir Elementary School. She has dedicated her entire teaching career to our school and teaches in our 5th-grade dual language program. She sets extremely high expectations for her students academically and behaviorally. Working closely with a partner, she impacts half of our current 5th-grade students. She is personable, kind, thoughtful, hardworking, perseverant, and dependable. She is also a source of inspiration for our less experienced teachers and is always willing to help anyone needing information or support. Belvoir Elementary School is extremely fortunate to have her teaching here each day."

Mrs.Sutton is definitely my favorite and best teacher I’ve ever had , In your eyes she may just be a teacher But in my eyes she’s not just a teacher , She’s a understanding,respectful,responsible,funny,goofy,accountable soul , she’s always there for you and teaching you about life and how you have to be accountable for everything you do, Mrs.Sutton is very caring for all her students , Colleagues, and her peers , She’s always taught me about manners and respecting my peers , Not one day went by where Mrs.Sutton didn’t greet me or any of her students with a warm smile and hug . I started at Belvoir one year ago, and she didn't know me at all, but she came in the cafeteria every day and spoke to each of us with a smile ?? on her face and she is one of the nicest Teacher's, and all the kids respect her.
I have known Kim for many, many years. She is an amazing teacher & one of the most upstanding individuals I know. Students are better for having her as a teacher & a mother-away-from-home. Teaching isn't just something she loves. It is something she was called to do. She was created for it & is an expert to say the least. She carries a great responsibility in the work that she does & it is a joy to see her being recognized in this way. She is definitely a life changer! I pray abundance for her life because she has so selflessly given so much of her life to others!

Mrs Sutton is the best and genuine person you will ever meet. Her dedication, love ,and compassion for education and the children is amazing. She definitely finds the positive in every situation and one of a kind . She makes sure students are prepare for the next grade level. Mrs Sutton is a great person an awesome teacher, mother, wife and a true friend. To know her is definitely to love her! I've worked side by side with her and she also taught both of my kids.
I had the honor and privilege of bring Mrs.Suttons teacher assistant 19 years ago when I started my education career. Outstanding is an understatement! I grew under her leadership. She has a heart of gold and truly not only loves her students but her parents and co workers as well. She is extremely deserving of the award.

Mrs. Sutton is by far one of the best educators and sweetest people I have ever met. She sets the bar high for her students. This goes beyond academics as she reinforces positive behavior and good character with every class. As a young college graduate, I learned so much just by observing her and receiving her guidance and wisdom in moments that she could spare in-between lessons. She is very deserving of this award.
I have known this young lady since August of 1999. She is one of the most dedicated, loving, caring and empathetic teachers that I have ever known. God’s hand has taken her passion and purpose and led her to her humble legacy of divine servitude for our youth and our community at large. Mrs Sutton is an amazing person along with being an amazing teacher. She was also an amazing coworker. During my time at Belvoir Elementary Mrs Sutton was the most caring and patient teacher. I’ve taught/known Kim Sutton for over 25 years.
She was the teacher that I hand-picked for my son to have in the 2nd grade.
Before Sutton, Trey wasn’t really interested in reading.
She was instrumental in my son’s love of reading!! He went on to be valedictorian of Conley and doing a “Read to Lead” community project for Belvoir that raised enough money that allowed every student and staff member pick out a book at the school’s book fair. I credit Mrs Sutton for helping him realize how important reading is to one’s education and life!!! Bravo Sutton!!!!!
