Rosana Stafford was nominated by Catherine Baucom, a colleague.

"Ms. Stafford is the 'abuela de la escuela,' and I have had the pleasure of knowing and working with her for many years. She has been at our school for over 10 years, building relationships with students, teachers, families, and the surrounding community. While we work with students who don't speak English as their first language, Ms. Stafford goes beyond her role as an ESOL Interventionist. She translates for the school, works with small groups (English and non-English speakers), calls parents, models for teachers, hosts ESOL parent and cultural nights, and even makes home visits to help support attendance! We also have a closet of clothes for any accidents that may occur or anyone in need. Our students and families know that our school is a safe place to bring any concerns and that their education is valued, thanks to Ms. Stafford," said Baucom.
