Andrea Poole was nominated by Lisa Heard, her principal.

Ms. Poole cares about her students' overall well-being. She creates innovative lessons and seeks ways to engage her students. Ms. Poole is not only an academic designer but also a creative designer. Ms. Poole molds her students with a soft voice, and she permeates a desire within them to learn math. Her class is organized, and students love competing for the top percentages in Reflex Math and i-Ready.

Over the years, Ms. Poole has served as a cheer sponsor, a crafts club sponsor, and an assistant to the cheer coach. She provides academic and emotional support to her students. Ms. Poole provides an environment that’s conducive to learning, challenging of students’ thought processes, and supportive. Students thrive in her classroom because Ms. Poole is a lifelong learner. She teaches her students how to use the classroom.

"The order in Ms. Poole's classroom amazes me whenever I enter the room. Her students know precisely what to do during every phase of the class. Ms. Poole rewards students with various items she has made for the students. Ms. Poole spends much time conducting small group lessons with struggling students. These students feel safe, supported, and loved by Ms. Poole. If I were a student today, I would want Ms. Poole to be one of my teachers,” said Heard.
