Garett Lammers was nominated by a student.

"Mr. Lammers was my tech ed teacher for my sixth through eighth-grade years at Butler Middle School. He was an entertaining teacher whom kids knew not to test. He was knowledgeable about tech ed and a great teacher who shaped my view of 3D modeling. He was and still is one of the best teachers I've ever had for any class. Even though he had classes with 30 to 40 kids, he made time for everybody and helped answer questions for everybody," said the student.

"My first class with him was super interesting. He seemed like a teacher who was nice at heart, direct, and blunt with everything. I was right about that, and during the safety presentation, he let kids from previous classes put pictures and scenarios from their classes. One showed a construction road sign in a neighborhood that said the speed limit was 50 when the original speed limit was 25. Mr. Lammers made some jokes and continued his presentation on why you should be safe, which made it more memorable," said the student.

"Mr. Lammers was a fun teacher who knew your strengths and weaknesses. For example, my group was gone when I forgot how to make a shirt for a screen printing project. He stayed with me and helped me get through that day, one of the only reasons I finished on time. Mr. Lammers, to me, isn't just a teacher; he is a big role model in my life, showing not only how tech ed skills are important but also what tech ed does in the real world and how I can help. Mr. Lammers, I hope you're doing well and that your classes aren't as chaotic as mine," said the student.
