LifeChanger of the Year Nominee Profile

Cedric Miller was nominated by a colleague, Artunyala Hunter.

Mr. Miller joined the Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering (MASE) for the 2022-23 school year. He turned its athletic program around as the high school head football coach and physical education teacher. He has brought success to the programs of every school he has coached at. Coach Miller finally got the true recognition he waited for, and that was becoming a state champion. He led MASE to become the first charter school to not only advance to the state playoffs, but win the state championship in early December 2024. Coach Miller coaches elite players while also serving as a mentor and father figure to some of his players. He invests himself in getting as many scholarships as possible for his players and other students. He is also surrounded by an excellent support team and executive director.
