Ms. Houston is a rising educator who exemplifies enthusiasm and motivation in the classroom. She takes the time to get to know her students, which is crucial in building relationships. These relationships help her students succeed and stay the course. Ms. Houston has also continued to embody the journey of a lifelong learner in such ways as earning her master's degree while focusing 100% on her students.
Catherine is always cheerful, ready to help anyone and just a great person all around. She is very good at relating to her students and peers, she starts with her beautiful smile and personality. She is definitely an asset to AISD.

I’ve known Cat since college and now get to work alongside her—which is wild in the best way. Back in school, she had a lot going on, and honestly, I wasn’t sure how she was managing it all. But she did. She finished her degree, handled her business, and didn’t let anything stop her. That right there says a lot about who she is.
These days, she’s juggling life like a pro—raising three awesome kids, holding down her own home, and still showing up for her students while working on her Master's degree, like a total boss babe. She’s the kind of person who makes you laugh when you need it, keeps it real, and never stops rooting for her students. She’s fun, real, and always brings good energy to the room.
She’s not just a great teacher, Cat is strong, determined, and full of heart—and I’m proud to know her.
