Annalise Wellman was nominated by her colleague, Cynthia Schector.
Ms. Wellman was recognized as the 2024 Beginning Teacher of the Year for the Central Region of Palm Beach County and as a finalist for the countywide Beginning Teacher of the Year award. She serves as an assistant basketball coach and aftercare assistant, demonstrating her commitment to both education and extracurricular involvement.
In addition to her work in the classroom, Ms. Wellman is the Chief Executive Officer of Sprout's Traveling Tea Company, a business she founded a few years ago, and she is also a published author. Her dedication to students goes beyond academics—she even inspired a former student with truancy issues to return to school.
"I know for a fact she uses her own money to provide meals and supplies for students who are homeless. She cares, and students know it," said Schector.
