Terri Carnell was nominated by a student.

Mrs. Carnell can be described as positive, motivating, and respectful. She changes the lives of students every day in a positive way. For example, every morning, she greets her students with a "good morning" regardless of whether they say it back. This greeting demonstrates the unconditional positivity she has for her students.

"She helps us become better writers by encouraging us to write about different topics each day and to 'just write,'" said the student. "When students may be struggling, she is sympathetic and always offers to help. In her classroom, she has a policy where whatever is shared in the classroom stays in the classroom and should not leave. This way, other students and I can feel comfortable sharing information about ourselves in our writing that we would not have shared otherwise while becoming better writers."

"An interaction with my LifeChanger that has impacted me is when I say 'good morning' to her at the beginning of the day. This interaction reminds me that someone is always thinking about you and wants to see you do well," said the student.
