Kristen Falkner was nominated by a student.

"Mrs. Falkner is a very important teacher to me because she can connect with her students. Students find her relatable and helpful throughout their high school careers. She has made a difference in my life by giving me constructive criticism to become a better artist while providing me with some life advice and listening to my struggles," said the student. "She has been there for me. Even though I am no longer in her classes, she still treats me respectfully and kindly when I visit her classroom."

"Many of my peers have had similar experiences with her as a teacher and have also made close bonds with her. She shows a lot of leadership in our school community by hosting an art club for all artists who may struggle to find a reason to stay out of the house, to come and socialize and practice their skills in a safe environment," said the student. "She is quite an excellent teacher, and I performed well in her classes due to her teaching and advice. Without her, I would still be a rookie artist, but my talents have blossomed throughout the past four years because she kickstarted my passion to improve and succeed. I could not ask for a better teacher in this school."
