Stephanie Rhinehart was nominated anonymously.

Mrs. Rhinehart stepped into her role as principal of Santa Cruz Elementary School five years ago. It was her first year as a principal, but it didn't show. She effortlessly carries herself as a leader who cares about all students and staff.

Mrs. Rhinehart always speaks with her staff when they are doing a good job or need improvement. She's there for her staff when they need someone to listen. Mrs. Rhinehart coaches staff members regularly to help them improve and grow throughout their careers, whether they are already teachers or classified staff members looking to become teachers. She bonds with every student she sees; they love greeting her with a hug or a high five. She is always happy to see smiles on their faces as they learn and play throughout the day.

"Mrs. Rhinehart has changed many people's lives as a teacher, school district employee, and administrator. The minute her name is mentioned in a conversation with anyone, the response is, 'Oh, I just love her.' Everyone agrees that she truly is the best. She has made the school a much better place, not just for working and learning, but a place where people can be themselves without judgment," said the nominator. "Stephanie Rhinehart changed my life for the better. I am not afraid to be myself anymore, and I know I am not the only one."

Mrs. Rhinehart has been absolutely incredible! She knows all of the kids names. She genuinely cares about each student. I'm so thankful to have her as a principal she is definitely an asset to our school!

Miss Rhinehart has managed to lead the school from not great, up to an A rated school. She came in during an exceptionally difficult time for all educators and students with covid and distance learning and all the problems that created. She navigated it all with such grace. When restrictions were lifted and my son could go in person the following year she was so fast to learn his name and his friend’s name and who I am as well. She has always made my boys feel seen and supported. Recently our school has had an overwhelming rise in enrollment with new homes in the area. The school is beyond original intended max capacity yet still she continues to steer the ship toward success somehow. Even with a billion new students, she gets to know each of them by name! Every challenge that has come, she has conquered. Santa Cruz Elementary would not be the success that it is today without Stephanie Rhinehart. My boys love her and so do I. I know she loves my children and all of the students that she has been given charge of.

Ms. Rhinehart is the most supportive staff member I’ve worked with. I’m in Transportation and she always shows her appreciation to the drivers.
