Mrs. Westfall's energy is contagious from the moment she steps into the school each morning. Whether she's organizing enrichment programs, working one-on-one with struggling students, or attending every school event, Mrs. Westfall's presence is felt in every corner of the school. She listens carefully to teachers, offering support, encouragement, and a fresh perspective to help them grow in their roles. Her office door is always open, whether it's for a quick question or a lengthy conversation about a student's success or challenge.

Mrs. Westfall has helped students time and time again by volunteering her own time and treasure. If a child didn't have a winter coat, she would get them one without any questions asked. If a child came to school hungry, she would take her lunch and give it to the child.

"Mrs. Westfall is a valuable asset to all of Nebraska public schools and truly is one of Nebraska's best educators and leaders. Westside Public Schools and District 66 are lucky to have such an exceptional person and educator," said the nominator.
