Ms. Damon, a history teacher at DELTA High School in Denver Public Schools, was named the 2025 Colorado Teacher of the Year. She has been teaching in the district for over 25 years and has also served as a literacy interventionist, library specialist, trainer, and K-12 librarian. Ms. Damon will be Colorado's nominee for the National Teacher of the Year competition.
