William Luna was nominated by a community member, Penny Merryfield.
Mr. Luna selflessly gives his time and effort to the students at Burns High School. He is a devoted AG and welding teacher, FFA (Future Farmers of America) advisor, and wrestling coach for junior and senior high school students. His ability to encourage his students is inspiring. Mr. Luna has taken his students and FFA members farther than they have gone in some time at Burns High School. With his constant guidance and support, the students have flourished.
"In our paper, we have a contest between the two local chapters of FFA for a cover design on our special FFA section. I was truly touched by how he helped his students and supported their ideas to the point where they won two years in a row," said Merryfield. "He is truly a gift to his students and education."
