Ms. Haughey's classroom, affectionately known as the "Fab Lab," is a hub of creativity, innovation, and hands-on learning. Whether teaching welding, woodshop, or advanced technologies like 3D printing and engraving, she empowers students to develop practical skills and explore their passions. Her annual Santa's Workshop is legendary, inviting students from kindergarten through 12th grade to create meaningful holiday gifts for their families. This event exemplifies her belief that learning should be joyful, inclusive, and impactful.

Ms. Haughey is the heart and soul of her school's community spirit. She teaches and leads by example, staying late into the night and coming in on weekends to ensure students have the resources and support they need. Her roles as a senior class advisor, assistant activities director, travel club coordinator, and concessions stand manager extend her influence beyond the classroom. These responsibilities demonstrate her commitment to fostering a vibrant, well-rounded student experience. From organizing stockings for every student's locker to coordinating Secret Santas for grades 7-12, Ms. Haughey goes above and beyond to ensure every student feels valued and included.

She spearheads collaborative projects like rebuilding the school greenhouse with the fifth-grade teacher and constructing a storage shed with the music teacher.
