LifeChanger of the Year Nominee Profile

Gustavo Reynoso was nominated by an anonymous colleague.

Mr. Reynoso is a LifeChanger because of his commitment to Garfield High School, and to the community of East Los Angeles. He is very supportive, not only of all the students and their families, but the staff members, as well. As an administrator, he goes out of his way to ensure that students are receiving the highest level of education.  He visits classrooms to provide teachers with support and solutions to challenging situations.  He is very effective, not only because of his impeccable work ethic, but because he knows what each stakeholder's duties are. Mr. Reynoso has been a classroom teacher, coordinator and parent at Garfield High School, and he knows what it takes to be successful at every level.  His innovative thinking has created new pathways for students, and the school has a 96% graduation rate due to his efforts. Mr. Reynoso is a pillar in this community and is a critical reason why Garfield students are doing an outstanding job in math and English!
