LifeChanger of the Year Nominee Profile

Amy Scott was nominated by her friend, Faith Cotner. 

"I have known Amy since middle school; from an early age, she knew she wanted to be a teacher. If I could describe Amy in 3 words, those words would be loving, resilient, and intelligent. Amy loves her students like they are her own children," said Cotner.

Ms. Scott will always go above and beyond for her students, no matter what. She always puts the needs of her students and children before her own. She is truly one of the best!

"One of the moments with Amy that I will never forget happened in high school. We were preparing to head to Pennsylvania for our Senior Trip, but I couldn't go due to financial difficulties. While most of my friends told me they would miss me, Amy offered to stay behind and not go if I couldn't go. One day, I got called to the principal's office. I was told that I was going on the Senior Trip because a classmate wrote a heartfelt letter. That classmate was Amy. No one had ever done anything like that for me. She thought of me before herself," said Cotter. "Her heart and soul are very rare: selfless, and that is the same kind of person that she is to this very day. She is truly a LifeChanger!"
