Christine Willis was nominated by an anonymous friend. Ms. Willis is a first year teacher who was put in an inclusion class.
"I have watched her excel greatly with this group of children. She has learned so much and has used extremely unique techniques in teaching the skills that need to be obtained while holding the attention of children who struggle with that daily. She has been amazing, and I look forward to watching her continue to learn and grow in this field of work!" her nominator said.
Mrs. Willis is my son's teacher and he loves going to school these days and it is all because of her. She loves to teach how kids love to learn. She teaches outside the box. She made her whole classroom a football field, outer space, blew up balloons with sentences inside of them to teach them how to make something. I thank God for this amazing woman every day.
This girl has been part of my life since high school. She has a heart of gold and genuinely enjoys watching children learn. She has a niche for creative ways to incorporate learning skills and making it fun so that it doesn’t just seem like work for her students. She is going to continue to grow in this calling on her life year after year. I can’t wait to see what this hold for her in the future!
Christine Willis, has always been a game changer, from her high school years (Hurricane Katrina) through her college graduation (MS State), she has always went above and beyond the goals she set for herself, her family, her friends and now her 3rd Grade class. It seems like she thrives to excellence when give adverse situations. Christine Willis is a proven role model to all that surrounds her, she strives to be the pillar in her community.
I have known Christine for many years and she has always been kindest soul. She is what has inspired me to one day hopefully get my teaching degree as well. I have seen Christine excel in what she is doing with her kids. The reactions I see from her students and the excitement she brings to the classroom is amazing. I wish I had teachers in school that were so involved in changing lives and changing the way they learn and finding new ways to engage with their students. We all go through life with teachers that made an impact on our lives, and I truly believe Christine will leave such an impact on any child she teaches.
