Katrina Carlisle was nominated by a colleague, Erin Walker.

Ms. Carlisle has been a huge benefit to Walker's students and to her school as a whole. She is such a caring and nurturing person. It's almost as if she is always at the right place at the right time!

"I had a student having a near meltdown, and she just happened to be coming around the corner. She prevented a meltdown from escalating because she knew the exact words to help this child gain composure and have a great day," Walker said.

Ms. Carlisle also runs her school's Dawg Pound, the PBIS Incentive Store. She chooses incentives that the children will like and enjoy "purchasing" with their Dawg Bucks. Her efforts to provide good prizes help students stay engaged and pursue the right behaviors.

"I know without a doubt that Katrina has the ability to be a leader among her peers. She guides her peers in the right direction and makes the best decisions for our staff and students," Walker said.

Ms. Carlisle regularly hosts conversations and gives her colleagues the opportunity to open up about various challenges.

"Katrina is an exemplary role model for our students. She keeps a smile on her face and is ready each and every day for whatever's thrown at her," Walker said.

Ms. Carlisle, is an awesome counselor. When you ask her for help she is there to offer any assistance she can. If a student is having a bad day she checks on them throughout the day to make sure they are doing good. I am so glad that she is at our school!!!!

Katrina is an amazing public servant, and her willing service unto and throughout my life, amongst countless other lives, was marked brilliantly by years since gone, as it pertains to our initial introduction, that had the great fortune of bearing witness to her serving in such a significant, awe-inspiring manner as my high school counselor. While life has treated us each in a similar nature as it does for the vast majority of idnviduals, we are submerged in new experiences and environments of existence’s opened doors granted by the changing of one season to the next and onward. Katrina’s immense stature of positivity and kindly intentional dedication to service should be confidently assessed by and applauded in total respects to all the substantial quantities of attributes embodied by her life’s work and foundationally upright identity. Without even meager hesitation or second thoughts of any kind or measure, I am thankful for our friendship and for having the true privilege of knowing that counting on this friend of mine, Katrina, is forever possible for she is to be trusted and given much responsibility just as I have known her from our beginnings as friend as being someone capable of much more than any set limitations or harsh reservations would lessen. I know Katrina as someone who is a willing ally to vulnerable souls and hearts, a patient yet inspiring motivator, a harborer of sincere love from the truest of origins, and a caregiver for her fellow citizens of the country and world we all are blessed to call our home. The wonderful ideals possessed by such an unfortunately rare breed of quality human perspective and compassionate understanding instilled within that of Katrina stand tall as a monument of powerful context and inspiration for the entire world’s consumption and benefit, and it speaks monumentally to her efforts for a betterment of real lives. The unfortunate aspect referenced priorly above arises in that our world and individual lives would absolutely be a society and lives well spent of better quality, including output and wellbeing, if humanity only was inhabited by similar mindsets and comprehensively optimal practices of personal values and externally demonstrated respect for life itself.

As a former student of Mrs Carlisle’s, I have nothing but good things to say. She went above and beyond to make sure that all of her students were aware of every possible opportunity. She always had the guidance that was needed to deal with different situations with school and personal matters. Mrs Carlisle not only helped me with college applications, she also helped with my course selections while in college. At 21, I was a Registered Nurse. She has taught me to so many wonderful skills.I still ask for her help and opinion frequently. Without her guidance, I would not be where I am today.
